NYC Nanny Care ("we", "us", "our") is a nanny and babysitter placement service operating in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the surrounding New York City area. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit nycnannycare.com, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Information you give us directly — when you submit a booking request, contact form, or email us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, home address or neighborhood, and details about the childcare you're requesting (number and ages of children, dates, service type).
• Payment information — deposits and payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our own systems.
• Cookies and browsing data — like most websites, we use cookies to remember your preferences and understand how visitors use our site. See Section 4 below.

3. How we use your information

• To respond to booking requests and match you with an appropriate nanny or babysitter
• To process payments and deposits via Stripe
• To communicate with you about your booking, including confirmations and scheduling
• To improve our website and services
• To comply with legal obligations, including background-check and safeguarding requirements relevant to childcare placement

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Cookies

We use cookies to enhance your browsing experience and understand site traffic. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your browser settings at any time to refuse cookies. Declining cookies will not affect your ability to browse the site or submit a booking request.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only where necessary to provide our service:

• Nannies and babysitters we place, to the extent needed to arrange and confirm a booking
• Stripe, for payment processing
• Background-check providers, where required to vet caregivers
• Service providers who help us operate our website (such as our booking form and email providers)

6. Data retention

We retain booking and contact information for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing

8. Children's privacy

Our website is directed at parents and guardians, not children. We collect information about children only as provided by a parent or guardian in the course of arranging childcare, and only to the extent necessary to provide that service.
